Child and Youth Mental Health Matters – First National Family Mental Health Conference; First National Young Carers Congress; Third International World Congress on Children of Parents with Mental Illness

There are three key themes woven through the Child and Youth Mental Health Matters conference. The conference aims to provide an understanding of mental health needs across generations; to examine how to engage professionals, young people and families in the development and implementation of prevention, early intervention and treatment strategies; an examination of the supports, activities and policies needed to support professionals, carers and families are supported; a forum for networking; and establish “Canadian communities of practice for each theme of the conference.

This three day conference will provide ample networking opportunities across all themes, presentations and panels on specific themes and cross themes plus opportunities to formally and informally discuss issues of common concern.
