Alexandra Percy comes to the Wishing Star Lapointe Developmental Clinic team with considerable experience working with children and families. She is skilled in conducting psycho-educational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults both in the school system and in private practice, and has assessed individuals experiencing various challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, giftedness, autism, and traumatic brain injury. Consistent with The Wishing Star philosophy, Alexandra conducts holistic assessments that honor how young people see the world and all of the factors that influence learning. She enjoys consulting with parents and schools on a child’s learning exceptionalities, and in providing parents and schools with strategies to support each student’s unique learning needs. Alexandra is also involved in research looking at how families and parents work together to support children with special needs. Alexandra was previously employed by the Delta School District, and is currently a doctoral student in School Psychology at the University of British Columbia. As a doctoral student, Alexandra Percy is supervised directly in her work at The Wishing Star Lapointe Developmental Clinic by Dr. Vanessa Lapointe, R. Psych. and practice founder.
