The Wishing Star Lapointe Developmental Clinic is delighted to offer courses created by renowned developmental psychologist, Dr. Gordon Neufeld, R. Psych. The focus of Dr. Neufeld’s work is to encourage parents, caregivers, and educators to understand children from the inside out. Dr. Neufeld’s courses are not about techniques or how to rid a child of poor behavior, but instead, are focused on having parents, caregivers, and child-involved professionals know their intuition and inherent strength in understanding children, and use this to inform the cultivation of deep and nurturing relationships, and ultimately know the value of true power within the nurturing ranks of the parent-child relationship. Each session begins with an hour viewing of the course material created by Dr. Neufeld. This is followed by an interactive component with questions & answers which is integral to promoting a deepened understanding of the child, from the inside out. Courses vary in length from 4 sessions to 8 sessions. Sessions are held weekly for the duration of the course. Group size is limited.
